Installation failing

This may be a repeat of ticket #90 (which is closed).

I have an application that is set to auto-update. The update notices there is a new version. It successfully goes through the download. When I click on the "Install and Restart" button, it very has the "Updating..." window, and then a popup indicating :

An error occurred during installation. Please try again later.

When I cancel/quit the app, and then look into the Applications/app.app directory, I find the new compressed dmg file and the uncompressed app.app

(since it expects to see app.app/Contents/MacOS/app and not app.app/app.app/Contents/MacOS/app, the update fails and corrupts the old install).

Do you know what version of Sparkle that app is using?

  • status changed from new to closed.
  • resolution set to fixed.

The other people I've been able to get in touch with who experienced this problem don't have it anymore with the latest versions. I'm going to go ahead and close this.
